Stocks Portfolio: October 2016

First of all, Wishing all the readers of this blog a very happy, safe and prosperous Deepavali / Diwali and a successful Samvat 2073 ahead. I hope the markets bring in more cheer to every one and help us achieve our individual financial goals.

This year, I have been churning portfolio quite actively (I know it’s not recommended) and trying to find a good mix of stocks for my long-term objective. Though I am not a sooth-sayer nor do I have a crystal ball, I want to take calculated bets on specific stocks with the available knowledge. The turn-over in my portfolio has helped me book some profits on certain counters which had run-up and hence, in hindsight, I got saved from the correction that followed.

For the first time, I am also putting up my performance vis-a-vis the individual sectors along with my portfolio weights.
